Lamine Yamal’s Family Home Targeted in Break-In Attempt
Lamine Yamal’s Family Home Targeted in Failed Night-Time Break-In
Just hours after helping fire his country into a World Cup final, Lamine Yamal woke to a very different kind of tension.
In the early hours of the morning, around 4 a.m., thieves attempted to break into the Barcelona forward’s home in Esplugues de Llobregat. The house, occupied by his close circle, became the focus of a swift and clumsy raid that ended almost as quickly as it began.
Security guards hired by the Barça player spotted two intruders on the surveillance cameras. Both wore balaclavas and were seen climbing the wall that surrounds the property, edging towards what they clearly believed would be an empty, vulnerable house on the night of a historic sporting achievement.
They were wrong.
The moment the would-be burglars realized they had been detected, they abandoned the attempt. No confrontation, no forced entry. Just a rapid retreat into the darkness, disappearing from the area before they could be intercepted.
Private security immediately contacted the Mossos d'Esquadra. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has taken charge of the case, treating it as an attempted burglary with force, and has begun work on identifying those responsible.
On the pitch, Lamine Yamal looks untouchable. Off it, this episode is a sharp reminder of how quickly the lives of football’s brightest stars can be dragged into a very different kind of spotlight.
