Sorba Thomas Escapes Unharmed After Car Crash Near Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after being involved in a car crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender ended up on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s base. Images from the scene showed the vehicle with smashed windows and lying upside down in the road.

Thomas, who joined the Tigers from Championship side Stoke earlier this month, was able to walk away from the wreckage.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services were still in attendance as investigations continued and urged the public to avoid the area while the road was being cleared.

Hull City released a statement expressing their relief that the winger had not been hurt.

The club said it was “relieved” to learn Thomas was unharmed and moved to reassure supporters after pictures of the overturned car began circulating online.

“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” the statement added.

For Hull, the focus now returns to football. For Thomas, it’s a stark reminder of how quickly a routine drive to work can turn into something far more serious.
