Bellingham on the Back Foot

The latest indications from the club point towards Guler starting ahead of Bellingham in Real Madrid’s opening league fixture against Espanyol on 22 August. It would be a bold call, but one entirely in step with what pre-season has shown Mourinho.

For Bellingham, that means something unfamiliar: a chase. To reclaim that role, he will have to dislodge a teammate in form, in rhythm, and in favour.
