Manchester City Signs Young Midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille

Manchester City have landed one of Europe’s brightest young midfielders, completing the signing of Moroccan international Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille on a five-year deal.

The 18-year-old has signed a contract that runs until 2031, with the move subject to international clearance, and arrives at the Etihad with a body of work that belies his age: 96 senior appearances for Lille and eight caps for Morocco already on his CV.

A teenager with a grown man’s résumé

At just 18, they expect that reading of the game to sharpen further under Enzo Maresca and his staff.

For Bouaddi, the move is the realisation of a long-held ambition.

“This is a very special day for me and my family,” he said after signing. “Manchester City are, for me, the best Club in the world. It’s a dream to be here and be able to call myself a City player. I’ve watched City for many years, and I love their style of play. The squad is world-class and Enzo is a top manager.”

The message was clear: he has not come just for the badge or the league, but for the football. For the structure and the style that have turned City into a serial winner.
