Juventus Concerned Over Locatelli's Knee Injury After Milan Draw

Juventus face an anxious wait over the condition of captain Manuel Locatelli after the midfielder reported a knee problem during the 1-1 draw with Milan at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.

Locatelli felt discomfort in his knee late in the Serie A clash, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and others, but chose to stay on the pitch and completed the full 90 minutes. He finished the game, yet the concern did not fade with the final whistle.

On Monday afternoon, the 26-year-old is expected at JMedical, where he will undergo tests in the coming hours to determine the extent of the issue.

For Juventus, the timing could hardly be worse. Their midfield is already stretched, with regular starter Khephren Thuram sidelined after knee surgery and not expected back until early 2027. One long-term absentee in the engine room is already a problem. Losing the captain as well would be a serious blow.

Locatelli has been the reference point in the middle of the pitch, the player asked to set the tempo and hold the structure together. If the tests bring bad news, Juventus will be forced to lean heavily on Weston McKennie, Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners and summer arrival Pape Matar Sarr to carry the load in central midfield.
