Erling Haaland Fit for Community Shield Against Arsenal

Erling Haaland has been passed fit to face Arsenal in the Community Shield – but that doesn’t guarantee he starts.

The Manchester City striker briefly alarmed supporters on Thursday when he sat out the closing stages of an open training session. Any concern was quickly cooled by Enzo Maresca, who confirmed on Friday that his main forward is available for the curtain-raiser in Cardiff.

At the back, one pre-season standout is making a serious case. Rayan Ait-Nouri has impressed over the summer and is pushing hard for the left-back spot.
