Brazil Powers Through to Round of 32

Brazil hit stride at last. After a nervous opening draw with Morocco, Raphinha’s side have powered through their group with back-to-back 3–0 wins over Haiti and Scotland to book top spot and a place in the round of 32.

The Barcelona winger sat out the final match, still nursing the injury picked up against Haiti, but his absence did nothing to slow the Seleção. The early questions that surfaced after that 1–1 against Morocco have been swept aside by six unanswered goals and a defence that suddenly looks ruthless rather than vulnerable.

What began with doubt now carries a different feel: control, authority, inevitability.

Brazil join growing elite in last 32

Brazil’s qualification adds another heavyweight to an increasingly crowded knockout field. With Morocco also safely through, nine nations have already punched their ticket to the round of 32: South Africa, Canada, Germany, the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, Argentina, Morocco and now Brazil.

The bracket is starting to take shape. So is the tension.

A dangerous draw awaits

Topping the group brings prestige, but no comfort. Brazil will face the runners-up from Group F, a slot that could fall to any of the Netherlands, Japan or Sweden.

Each option carries its own edge. The craft and structure of the Dutch. Japan’s speed and sharp passing. Sweden’s physical power and set-piece threat. There are no soft landings here, no gentle introductions to knockout football.

Brazil have done their part. They’ve steadied, they’ve scored, they’ve shut the door at the back.

Now comes the real question: with the margin for error about to vanish, which version of this team will walk into the round of 32 — the hesitant side that opened against Morocco, or the ruthless one that has not conceded since?
