Adam Jackson Ends Lincoln City Spell but Continues Training

Adam Jackson’s time as a Lincoln City player is over, but he has not walked away from the club just yet.

The defender has had his contract terminated by mutual consent after being told earlier in the summer he would not be part of the Imps’ 25-man squad for this season. At 32, and with the transfer window now shut, he finds himself in limbo.

Lincoln have chosen not to shut the door. Jackson will continue to train with the Championship side while he searches for his next move, keeping his fitness and sharpness up at the club he has called home for six years.

He leaves as a seasoned figure at Sincil Bank, having made 179 appearances in all competitions. A steady presence across multiple campaigns, he featured just once this season – in the Carabao Cup win at Blackpool in late August.

Sporting director Jez George underlined the respect between club and player, explaining that Lincoln will “do anything to help Jacko with what comes next in his career”. The decision to keep him around on the training pitch reflects that bond.

Now Jackson works on borrowed time at a familiar training ground, pushing through sessions with Lincoln while the search for a new badge on his shirt gathers pace.
