Roma Targets Nicolo Tresoldi as New Forward

Roma’s search for a new forward has taken a fresh turn, and this time the spotlight falls on Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge.

After seeing talks for Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville collapse earlier this month, the Giallorossi have moved quickly to reset their plans in the market. Gasperini wants a mobile, aggressive attacker to lead his front line. Tresoldi fits that brief, and he has climbed rapidly to the top of Roma’s shortlist.

According to Il Tempo reporters Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Pes, Roma are already in negotiations with Club Brugge over the young German striker. The conversations are active, not exploratory. Gasperini is understood to be a strong admirer of Tresoldi’s profile and believes he can slot straight into his demanding attacking structure.

There is, however, a familiar obstacle. Money.

Tresoldi has made his position clear: he wants Roma. The player has already expressed his intention to join the Italian club, a key step in any deal of this kind and a lever Roma will try to use in talks. Brugge, though, are holding firm and continue to demand a high fee for one of their most promising assets.

So Roma push, the player waits, and Brugge dig in. The question now is simple: who blinks first?
