Penybont Maintains Unbeaten Start with 1-0 Win Over Colwyn Bay

Penybont clung on to their unbeaten start to the Cymru Premier season with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Colwyn Bay, a result that hauls them up to sixth and says plenty about their resilience as much as their football.

This was not a gentle evening at home. Inside the opening 20 minutes, Penybont lost both of their headline summer signings, Jonathan Leko and Ryan Hill, to injury. The game plan was ripped up almost before it had begun, the home crowd stunned into a nervous murmur as the physios twice trotted on and the substitutes were hurriedly readied.

Owain Pritchard, one of those early replacements, seized his chance.
