Napoli’s growing injury list has claimed another key name. Leonardo Spinazzola has been ruled out of Sunday’s away clash with Fiorentina after picking up a mild hamstring strain in his right thigh.

The club confirmed on Friday that the full-back did not train with the rest of the squad, with medical checks revealing the issue in his right hamstring. The setback, described as a mild strain, is still enough to sideline the Italy international for the lunchtime kick-off in Florence (12:30 CET, 11:30 BST).

Reports from Il Mattino and Sky are aligned: Spinazzola will not be part of the travelling party. For a Napoli side already patched together in recent weeks, it’s another unwanted complication.

The problems do not stop there. Frank Zambo Anguissa is still working away from the group, continuing his individual programme. With time running out before Sunday, his chances of being available look slim.
