Juventus and Inter Consider Frattesi–Gonzalez Swap Deal

Juventus and Inter Milan are testing the waters on a swap deal that could solve problems for both and reshape two key areas of their squads in one move.

Spalletti’s target

Juventus have had Frattesi on their radar for a while. Luciano Spalletti, who knows the midfielder well and believes he can elevate his game, has been pushing for a reunion. Inside the club, there is a clear conviction that Frattesi would raise the technical level and intensity of their midfield, so Juve remain alert to any opening that might bring him to Turin.

Inter, aware of that long-standing interest, now find themselves in a position to potentially leverage it.

Inter’s winger hunt

Simultaneously, Inter have turned their focus to Gonzalez as they search for another winger to deepen their attacking options. The Argentinian has built a strong reputation over recent seasons, showing he can deliver at a high level and slot into a front line that demands both work rate and end product.

According to Calciomercato, the two clubs have opened talks around a possible exchange involving Frattesi and Gonzalez, with Juventus trying to secure a player Spalletti trusts, and Inter targeting a wide man they believe can add a new dimension to their attack.

Gonzalez ready to move on

The same report notes that Gonzalez impressed during his loan spell at Atletico Madrid last season, underlining his value on the market. It also claims he has made it clear he does not want to play for Juventus again.

That stance changes the equation. A permanent exit now looks like the logical outcome, and including him in a swap deal becomes an attractive solution for all sides—provided the numbers line up.

The value gap

That is where Juventus intend to be especially cautious. Inside the negotiations, there is an acknowledgment that Frattesi and Gonzalez do not carry the same market value. Any agreement would have to reflect that discrepancy before the Bianconeri sign off.

For Juve, that likely means pushing for favourable terms, whether through a higher valuation of Frattesi in the swap or an additional cash component to balance the deal. Inter, for their part, must weigh how badly they want Gonzalez and how much they are willing to sacrifice in midfield to secure him.
