Jamal Musiala's Return: Bayern's Cautious Approach

Jamal Musiala has taken a significant step towards a full return, but Bayern’s staff are refusing to cut corners with the Germany international.

According to Bild, the 23-year-old recently had his medication dosage increased after suffering two collapses in friendly matches, linked to brief neurological disturbances described as short losses of consciousness. The incidents prompted a cautious response inside the club.

The message from the coaching team is clear: there will be no rushing Musiala back into competitive action.

Even so, the signs on the training ground are encouraging. Musiala completed the full team session on Monday afternoon, throwing himself into duels and staying on for the entire workout. He looked in strong physical shape and, as Bild put it, on the right path towards a comeback.

Part of the session took place on the main pitch behind a protective screen, with another block on the adjacent pitch in full view. Musiala was involved throughout.

For Vincent Kompany, there is a major upside. With Musiala and Serge Gnabry both back in full training, Bild reports that the coach finally has his entire squad available. No players are currently listed as injured or working individually, handing Kompany the complete group he wanted just as the season’s real tests begin.
