Inzaghi's Comments Ignite Barcelona's Interest in Cancelo

One short answer from Simone Inzaghi was all it took to blow the dust off Joao Cancelo’s future at Barcelona.

On the eve of Al-Hilal’s league opener against Al-Faisaly, the Italian coach made two decisions that echoed loudly in Catalonia. He left Cancelo out of the squad. Then he made it clear the defender’s fate is no longer in his hands.

“Cancelo continues to train regularly with the team, but his future and whether he stays or not is a matter for the board of directors,” Inzaghi told Spanish newspaper Sport.
