Inter Champions League Squad: Summer Signings Included

Inter have nailed down their squad for the 2026-27 Champions League league phase – and every one of their summer signings is on the list.

John Stones, Curtis Jones, Aleksandar Stankovic and Djed Spence have all been registered across List A and List B in the official submission to UEFA, confirming Simone Inzaghi will have his new arrivals at his disposal when Europe calls.

The paperwork deadline for clubs in UEFA competitions fell on Wednesday, September 2, the day after the summer window shut across most of Europe. Inter’s announcement lays out exactly who is eligible for the league phase and where they sit within UEFA’s strict registration rules.

Why Inter stopped at 23 on List A

UEFA regulations cap List A at 25 players, with at least two goalkeepers and a minimum of eight locally trained players. Inter fall one short of that homegrown quota, naming seven such players – which automatically drops their List A ceiling to 23.

So they use all 23.

Those seven locally trained names are: Ivan Provedel, Raffaele Di Gennaro, Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, Mattia Marello, Nicolo Barella and Piotr Zielinski. They form the backbone that allows Inter to shape the rest of their European group.

Alongside them, Josep Martinez joins the goalkeeping department on List A.

The defence is loaded with experience and fresh energy: Stones, Manuel Akanji, Benjamin Pavard, Carlos Augusto, Yann-Aurel Bisseck and Spence give Inter a mix of ball-playing quality and physical presence across the back line and flanks.

Midfield, as ever in this Inter era, looks like the control room. Zielinski, Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, Hakan Calhanoglu, Curtis Jones, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Barella form a deep rotation of creators, runners and tempo-setters.

Up front, Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny carry the scoring burden. Three names, plenty of responsibility.

Youth talent pushed onto List B

The rules open a second door for clubs willing to trust their academy. UEFA’s List B is reserved for younger players who meet strict criteria on age and club training.

Inter have used that space smartly.

Stankovic and Pio Esposito both qualify, having been born after January 1, 2005 and spending an uninterrupted spell at the club. That status allows them to sit on List B rather than take up valuable List A slots, keeping the senior list lean while still keeping them available for selection.

Inter have not revealed the rest of their youth-eligible List B names, but the inclusion of Stankovic and Esposito underlines a clear intention: blend heavyweight signings with homegrown prospects and attack Europe with depth in every line.

The squad is set. Now it has to deliver.
