Crystal Palace Signs Anan Khalaili on Long-Term Deal

Crystal Palace have moved decisively in the market, completing the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running through to 2031.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, who brings rare versatility on the flanks. Comfortable as a full-back or a winger, he offers Pierre Sage both defensive cover and an extra attacking weapon out wide.

Khalaili arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise, where his impact was immediate. Joining the Belgian side in 2024, he helped drive them to a historic Belgian Pro League title – their first in 90 years – and added a Belgian Cup to cap a remarkable season. On the European stage, he scored three of his six goals last term in the Champions League, experience Palace will lean on as they prepare for a Europa League campaign.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said after the move was confirmed. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

That ambition will be music to Sage’s ears. Palace, already building quietly but aggressively this window, now have their fifth new signing through the door – and one tied down for the long haul.
