Rodri is scheduled to land in Catalonia later today, stepping into a club that has been searching for a long-term anchor in midfield since Sergio Busquets left. Construction work at Spotify Camp Nou has forced the club to adjust the script. Instead of the traditional grand unveiling at the stadium, Barcelona plan to present Rodri tomorrow at their training facilities.

It will be a more compact setting, but no less symbolic. The club want him on the grass, with his new colours, even if the old stadium backdrop is missing.
