Barcelona's Squad for La Liga Clash Against Racing Santander
Hansi Flick has nailed down his plans for Wednesday night. Barcelona have named a 23-man squad for their La Liga clash with Racing Santander at the Spotify Camp Nou, as they look to keep their perfect league start intact.
Ronny Bardghji and Frenkie de Jong remain out, but Flick has turned to his core stars again for the sixth round fixture, with the Catalans intent on staying clear at the top.
Goalkeeping Options
The goalkeeping options are strong and varied: Joan García, Szczęsny and Dominik Livaković are all included. At the back, João Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsí, Andreas Christensen, Jules Koundé and Eric García give Flick a mix of youth, pace and experience across the defensive line.
Midfield
Midfield looks typically stacked. Gavi, Fermín López, Pedri, Marc Casadó, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal are all called up, offering different profiles for Flick to tweak the tempo and control of the game under the Camp Nou lights.
Attacking Options
Up front, the names underline Barcelona’s attacking intent. Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Karim Adeyemi, Roony and Hamza Abdelkarim are all in the squad, giving the coach a wide range of options across the front line.
Kick-off is set for 9:30pm Spanish time, with Barcelona defending not just their unbeaten record, but a three-point cushion over Real Madrid.
They arrive in form. Their last outing brought a 4-2 win over Levante, a match lit up by Lamine Yamal, who struck twice. Marc Casadó and Karim Adeyemi added the other goals as Barcelona extended their run and tightened their grip on top spot.
Now the stage is set again at the Spotify Camp Nou. Another win, and Flick’s side keep the early-season momentum firmly in their hands.
