Arsenal Extends Emirates Partnership Until 2033
Arsenal have moved quickly to capitalise on their title-winning momentum, tying down a renewed long-term deal with Emirates that will run until 2033 and extend one of the defining commercial relationships in modern football.
The agreement keeps the Emirates name and logo at the heart of the club’s identity: on the front of the men’s and women’s shirts, across the training kit, and above the doors of Emirates Stadium itself. What began in 2006 as a bold branding move has become the longest continuous shirt sponsorship in Premier League history. Now it stretches into a fourth decade.
For a club fresh from lifting the Premier League trophy, this is more than a routine renewal. It is fuel.
Arsenal see the extension as a financial and symbolic statement that their recent resurgence is not a peak but a platform. The club wants to build on a season that restored them to the summit of English football, and the hierarchy clearly views a secure, heavyweight principal partner as central to that plan.
Chief executive Richard Garlick underlined exactly that. Winning the league, he said, marked an “exceptional moment” in Arsenal’s history, and he framed Emirates as a constant presence through the club’s modern evolution, from the early Emirates Stadium years to the current title-winning side. For Garlick, the new deal is a sign of mutual conviction: both parties are backing Arsenal’s future and committing to chase more trophies together.
On the Emirates side, the message carries the same weight. President Sir Tim Clark described a relationship that has grown far beyond logos and perimeter boards. Over nearly two decades, the airline and the club have built a shared ecosystem of campaigns, matchday activations and global fan experiences that neither could have delivered alone. The partnership has helped push Arsenal’s reach deep into key international markets, turning the club into a flagship asset for the airline’s global brand.
That reach now goes into another chapter.
To mark the 20-year milestone, Arsenal and Emirates will roll out a series of fan-focused events and activities in the coming weeks. Central to the celebrations will be a new promotional film revisiting the standout moments of the partnership, fronted by former captain and German World Cup winner Per Mertesacker, now a key figure in the club’s academy structure. His presence neatly bridges past and present: a reminder of the players and personalities who have carried the Emirates name through different eras.
The timing of this “new phase” is no accident. It begins on home turf, with Arsenal hosting Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup at Emirates Stadium. The friendly has often served as a curtain-raiser for the season; this time, it doubles as a live stage for the club and its airline partner to showcase what 20 years together looks like – and to hint at what the next decade might bring.
