Anderson Talisca leaves Fenerbahce for Al-Jazira move

Anderson Talisca’s brief spell at Fenerbahce is over. The Brazilian forward has left the Istanbul giants after the two parties agreed to terminate his contract.

Fenerbahce confirmed the decision with a short statement on X, noting that Talisca, who arrived in the mid-season window of the 2024-2025 campaign, had seen his deal ended by mutual consent. The club signed off with a simple farewell, wishing him success in the next chapter of his career.

That next chapter is already mapped out.

According to Transfermarkt, citing respected journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Talisca has reached an agreement with UAE side Al-Jazira. The move will reunite him with compatriot Malcom, the former Al-Hilal attacker, in what promises to be one of the standout attacking partnerships in the Gulf region.

Ozbudak reports that Al-Jazira have lined up a two-year contract for the 30-year-old, with an option for a third season. The financial package is substantial: Talisca is set to earn a total annual salary of just over 10 million euros.

For now, only the formalities stand between him and his new adventure. Medical tests, signatures, photos with the shirt. Once the ink dries, one of the most eye-catching talents to pass through Saudi Arabia and Turkey in recent years will be leading a new project in Abu Dhabi.
