Yamal’s rookie eclipsed them both.

His one-of-one Kaboom cleared the Pele lot by almost $100,000. It left the Messi piece trailing by an extraordinary $390,400. For a teenager barely into his senior career, outmuscling two of the game’s undisputed giants in the auction room underlined the ferocity of the current hype.
