Women’s Super League Transfer Windows 2026/27 Dates Confirmed

The Women’s Super League has drawn its lines in the sand for another pivotal year of squad building, confirming the dates for the 2026/27 summer and winter transfer windows.

The summer market will spark into life on Tuesday, June 16, giving clubs a crucial stretch to reshape their squads before the new campaign. From that date, deals can be signed and registrations completed right up until 11pm (UK time) on Thursday, September 3. Every contract, every last-minute medical, every fax and email will be racing that same deadline.

Then comes the reset in mid-season. The winter window opens on Monday, January 4, 2027, and runs until 11pm on Thursday, February 4. One month for clubs to correct course, cover injuries, or take a calculated gamble that could transform the run-in.

These dates matter because recent history shows how decisive smart business can be. In last summer’s window, the club moved aggressively, bringing in Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Anneke Borbe, and Olivia Smith to add quality and depth across the pitch. When January arrived, the recruitment drive continued with Smilla Holmberg joining permanently and Barbora Votikova arriving on loan, bolstering options at a critical point in the season.

With the calendar now locked in, every sporting director, head coach, and analyst knows the clock they’re working against. The next question is simple: who uses these windows well enough to tilt the balance of the WSL title race?
