Tottenham Loan Deal for Pape Matar Sarr with Option to Buy

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Juventus for Pape Matar Sarr to leave on loan with a £25.7million option to buy at the end of the season, as a busy final stretch of the window gathers pace in north London.

The midfielder’s move is part of a wider reshaping of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad, with the club also signing off Mikey Moore’s temporary switch to Bundesliga side Koln. Young left-back Souza is set to join Porto on loan until the end of the campaign, trimming numbers and freeing space for late arrivals.

Spurs are still pushing to bring in another attacker before the deadline and remain in talks with Everton over Iliman Ndiaye. That negotiation sits alongside a separate discussion between the clubs, with Everton working on a deal to take Richarlison back to Goodison Park.

De Zerbi laid bare the situation over the weekend, confirming that Richarlison, Sarr and Kevin Danso have all asked to leave.

“He said too many times that he wants to leave,” the Italian said of Richarlison. “Danso came to me two days ago, and he said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr, the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train.”

The message from the head coach was clear: no one will be kept against their will, as long as the numbers add up.

“I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships,” De Zerbi said. “But if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”

With Sarr bound for Turin, Moore heading to Germany, Souza to Portugal and Richarlison and Danso both pushing for exits, Spurs’ deadline day now hinges on whether those “solutions” arrive in time – and whether the club can turn that outgoing tide into the attacking reinforcements De Zerbi wants.
