Robin Roefs Signs New Deal with Sunderland Until 2031

Robin Roefs has nailed his colours to the mast on Wearside, signing a new deal that ties him to Sunderland until 2031 – a statement of faith from both goalkeeper and club after a breakout first season.

The 21-year-old’s emergence as a commanding presence in goal underpinned the Black Cats’ surge to seventh place and a Europa League spot, and Sunderland have moved quickly to lock in one of the cornerstones of their project.

Sporting director Florent Ghisolfi did not hide his satisfaction as he spoke to the club’s official channels, hailing both Roefs’ performances and his character.
