Napoli Targets Marc Guiu as Key Signing Before Transfer Deadline

Napoli are pushing hard to pull Marc Guiu out of Chelsea and into the heart of their rebuild, with the Spanish teenager now their clear priority as the transfer window ticks into its final days.

Sky Sport Italia report that the Partenopei are ready with a permanent offer in the region of €15–16 million, topped up by performance-related bonuses, to prise the striker away from Stamford Bridge. It is a decisive move from a club that badly needs a new focal point in attack and has chosen to bet on potential rather than a ready-made star.

This is not a passing whim from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona boardroom. Napoli see Guiu, a product of Barcelona’s famed academy, as a piece for the present and the future, a No 9 who can grow with a squad being reshaped after a turbulent spell.

Guiu only joined Chelsea in 2024, but his time in London has quickly turned into a kind of limbo. Surrounded by a swollen squad and fierce competition for places, he has struggled to secure consistent minutes, stuck in what has been described as a Stamford Bridge purgatory.

Chelsea now stand at a familiar crossroads. Keep a promising young forward and risk further congestion in an already bloated group, or cash in and ease the financial and regulatory squeeze.
