Manchester United Target Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken

Manchester United are set to make Monica Jusu Bah the latest piece in their rebuild, after agreeing terms to sign the Sweden winger from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, as United push to sharpen their attacking edge for the second half of the season.

Jusu Bah only signed an extension with Häcken in September 2025 and is under contract until 2028, so United will pay a transfer fee, though the figure has not been disclosed. The deal underlines how highly she is rated in Sweden, where she has spent her entire club career so far.

She broke through at Umeå before earning her move to Häcken in 2023, and her rise has accelerated since. In May, she played a key role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding continental silverware to her résumé.

On the international stage, Jusu Bah has become a regular option for Sweden. She has 11 caps and has featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, giving United a winger already tested in high-pressure games.

The move comes in a busy window for United, who are not done yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the deadline, as they try to reshape a squad that has faltered after last season’s progress.

Defensively, they have already strengthened with the arrival of Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid, while goalkeeper Janina Leitzig has joined from Leicester City to bolster competition between the posts.
