Luis Enrique Concerned as Hakimi Leaves Match Injured

Paris Saint-Germain left Brest with three points on Sunday, but also with their first major worry of the season. Achraf Hakimi did not make it to half-time.

The Morocco right-back pulled up a few minutes before the break in the Ligue 1 clash, immediately feeling for his right adductor as he slowed to a halt near the touchline. He paused, tested the muscle himself, then quickly signalled to the bench. No theatrics, just a clear message: something was wrong.

Hakimi walked off, but the concern was obvious. This was PSG’s first significant injury blow of the campaign, and it lands just as the international break approaches.

Luis Enrique's Response

Luis Enrique was asked about the defender’s condition after the match and kept his guard up. Speaking to Foot Mercato, the PSG coach said: “Hakimi? I hope the injury is not serious, it is difficult to determine that. He will undergo a medical examination tomorrow.”

For now, that is all PSG have to cling to: hope and a scan scheduled for Monday.

The club will use those tests to determine the extent of the adductor problem and how long Hakimi might be out. Until the results land, the French champions are left in limbo, waiting to find out whether this is a brief scare or the first real setback of their season.
