Liverpool Forward Cleared for Anfield Start Against Atletico Madrid

Liverpool’s France forward has been passed fit to start the Premier League clash at Anfield, shaking off the cramp that forced him off in the second half of Wednesday’s win over Atletico Madrid.

Any lingering concern from midweek disappears with that news. He leads the line again on home turf, a key attacking piece kept in place as Liverpool look to carry European momentum into domestic business.

The reshuffle comes elsewhere.

Ryan Gravenberch, Kostas Tsimikas and Victor Munoz are all drafted into the starting XI, with Milos Kerkez, Alexis Mac Allister and Rio Ngumoha making way. It’s a bolder, fresher look, with energy injected in midfield and down the flanks for what promises to be a high-tempo afternoon at Anfield.

There is another boost. Cody Gakpo returns to the matchday squad after a fitness issue and takes a spot on the bench, giving Liverpool extra firepower in reserve if the game tightens or turns into a late siege.

Liverpool line-up

Alisson; Van Dijk, Jacquet, Wirtz; Szoboszlai, Isak, Tsimikas, Munoz, Barcola, Araujo, Gravenberch.

With their France forward starting and Gakpo back in the frame, Liverpool arrive at Anfield with options – and a clear intent to attack.
