Kyle Lafferty Joins Forth Wanderers: A New Era Begins

Kyle Lafferty has never been shy of a challenge. Now, the well-travelled Northern Irish striker has chosen one of the most intriguing of his career: helping Forth Wanderers drag themselves up the Scottish Junior ladder.

The veteran forward spoke with the enthusiasm of a man stepping into something new rather than winding down.

"I'm really excited to get started at Forth Wanderers," he told the club’s media. "It's another project that I'm thrilled to be involved in and I can hopefully help the team climb the leagues and stamp their authority in the Junior leagues and beyond."

This is not a token signing. Around the village club, Lafferty’s arrival is being treated as a turning point.

Club figurehead Paul McManus made that clear as he set out the thinking behind the move.
