Juventus Sign Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham for €30 Million

Juventus have struck a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to bring in midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, in a move that could rise to €30 million and reshape both clubs’ midfields.

The agreement, reported by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, is built around an initial loan with an option to buy. That option will not stay optional for long if things go to plan in Turin. Should Juventus qualify for the Champions League and Sarr hit agreed appearance milestones, the clause turns into a mandatory purchase.

In other words: if Sarr plays and Juventus perform, he becomes a permanent Bianconero.

Juventus pounce as Sarr seeks a new stage

Talks accelerated once Sarr made it clear he wanted a fresh challenge away from North London. The 23-year-old found himself squeezed by the changing landscape under Roberto De Zerbi, with competition stiffening after the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.

For a player entering what should be his defining years, a rotational role was never going to be enough.

Monaco had been widely viewed as favourites for his signature. That vanished quickly. Once Juventus came calling, Sarr agreed personal terms without fuss, giving the Italian giants a dynamic, high-energy option they had been missing late in the window.
