Harvey Elliott Set for Valencia Move as Liverpool Exit Looms

Harvey Elliott is edging towards the Anfield exit door, with La Liga and Valencia now looming as his next stage.

The Liverpool midfielder spent Thursday locked in talks with the Spanish club and, according to Fabrizio Romano, has agreed personal terms ahead of a proposed move to Mestalla. All that remains is for the clubs to finish the paperwork.

From Liverpool fringe to La Liga lifeline

This has been coming. Elliott has drifted to the margins in the opening weeks of the new season, watching on as others have claimed the attacking midfield roles he once seemed destined to inherit.

Napoli and Lazio circled, sensing an opportunity. Both were credited with interest in the 23-year-old, but Valencia have moved with more conviction and now stand poised to take him on loan.

Liverpool and Valencia are in advanced negotiations over that deal, with talks focused on the final details. Iraola’s ruthless reality

Back at Liverpool this summer, Elliott offered flashes of the player who lit up youth tournaments. He delivered an assist in a pre-season friendly against Sunderland and looked sharp, but it wasn’t enough to climb above Wirtz or dislodge Szoboszlai.

That is where Valencia come in. They have struggled for rhythm in the early weeks of the La Liga season, but they can offer something Elliott simply cannot find at Anfield right now: minutes, responsibility, a central role.
