Dimarco Trains with Knee Bandage Ahead of Real Madrid Clash

Federico Dimarco is pushing to be part of Inter’s Champions League opener against Real Madrid – but he’s doing it with a heavily strapped right knee.

The Italy international worked with the rest of the squad this morning, on the day before Inter’s first European test of the 2026-27 campaign. Images from training, reported by FcInter1908, showed Dimarco on the pitch but with a substantial bandage wrapped around his knee, a clear reminder of the knock he took at the weekend.

The wing-back was forced off during Inter’s dramatic 3-2 win over Napoli on Saturday after suffering what has been diagnosed as a mild knee sprain. The injury sparked immediate concern, given his importance on the left flank and his influence in both phases of play.

Now comes the race against time.

Inter are due to fly out to Spain this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s clash at the Santiago Bernabéu. Only then will it become clear whether Dimarco will be on that plane as part of the matchday squad or remain in Milan to continue treatment.

Coach Cristian Chivu is expected to clarify the situation later today during his press conference in Madrid, where he will provide the latest medical updates and, crucially, indicate whether Dimarco is considered fit enough to be called up.
