Palace without Sarr, but Disasi steps in

Pierre Sage goes into the game with two confirmed absentees: Ismaila Sarr and Chadi Riad both miss out.

Sarr’s situation is particularly notable. Linked heavily with Liverpool in the window, he instead finds himself in the treatment room. Sage explained before the game that the winger is struggling with a groin issue and is currently restricted to individual sessions rather than full training.

New arrival Axel Disasi, on loan from Chelsea, is available and named among the substitutes. Sage has already talked up the defender’s experience and presence, underlining why Palace moved quickly to bring him in.
