Bayern Munich’s Friendly Win Against RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich’s 3-1 friendly victory over RB Leipzig in the Munich heat came at a cost, as Jamal Musiala, Konrad Laimer and Minjae Kim all failed to finish the match.

The most alarming moment arrived just after the hour. Musiala had only just capped a slick Bayern move with a cool finish to make it 3-1 when the mood inside the stadium flipped in an instant. With no opponent near him, the Germany international suddenly crumpled.

Ismael Saibari reacted first, sprinting across and managing to grab Musiala before he crashed to the turf. Joshua Kimmich rushed in right behind him, waving urgently for medical help as concern spread through both sets of players.

Bayern’s medical staff charged onto the pitch and a stretcher followed, raising the tension even further in the stifling temperatures. Eventually, Musiala was helped back to his feet and, supported by the team doctor, was able to walk off rather than be carried.

After the final whistle, board member for sport Max Eberl moved quickly to calm fears, even as the club awaited a full medical report. “The most important thing is that he’s doing well,” he said, with no detailed diagnosis yet confirmed.

The worry over Musiala came on top of earlier setbacks for Vincent Kompany’s side. Laimer, facing his former club, pulled up after a challenge, immediately clutching his right thigh. He received treatment on the pitch but could not continue and was substituted, with Bayern still waiting on precise test results.

Minjae Kim also had to leave the field during the encounter, adding another concern to a night that should have been routine.
