Arsenal Targets Bruno Guimarães as Summer Squad Plans Progress

Arsenal’s summer is starting to look very deliberate. Piece by piece, Mikel Arteta and the club’s hierarchy are building a squad they believe can go the distance, and the next move on the board could be the most audacious yet: Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United.

Reports in France claimed this week that an agreement in principle is already in place between the clubs. The Athletic has stepped in with a cooler read: no deal confirmed, no signatures yet, but the direction of travel is clear. Arsenal are closing in.
