Zeidane Inoussa Joins Portsmouth on Loan from Swansea

Swansea winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to swap south Wales for the south coast, with a loan move to Championship rivals Portsmouth lined up for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old arrived at Swansea only last summer, signed from Swedish side BK Hacken for a significant fee and billed as a wide player with upside and resale value. Instead, his first campaign in English football stalled. One goal in 29 appearances, injuries interrupting any rhythm, and a long-term contract running through to 2030 now frames him as a movable asset rather than a guaranteed starter.

Swansea’s summer business has pushed him further down the pecking order. Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku are already through the door, with Manchester City prospect Jeremy Monga expected to follow. With three fresh wide options coming in, the message is clear: minutes will be hard to find.

The pressure on squad space has opened the door for Portsmouth. They know the Championship landscape, they know the need for pace out wide, and they are ready to give Inoussa a reset that Swansea cannot currently offer. For the player, it is a chance to prove he can still be the dynamic winger that persuaded Swansea to invest in him in the first place.

He is not the only one who could be heading out. Swansea are also looking to move on Florian Bianchini after a disappointing loan spell at Portsmouth last season, a stint that never really caught fire on the south coast. There is also speculation around the future of Ronald, another wide player whose role looks less certain with every new arrival.

Swansea’s rebuild is gathering speed. For Inoussa, the next few months at Portsmouth may decide whether he is part of it in the long term, or simply a costly chapter that closes sooner than anyone expected.
