Jamal Musiala Feels Unwell Again During Bayern Friendly

Bayern Munich’s pre-season took a worrying turn on Tuesday as Jamal Musiala again felt unwell during a friendly, just days after a similar incident.

The Germany international had only just entered the pitch in the 2–4 win over Heidenheim when trouble struck. Brought on around the hour mark, Musiala went to ground after roughly four minutes, prompting immediate concern from players and staff.

Team-mates from both sides quickly formed a protective circle around the 21-year-old as medical staff rushed on. The scene was tense, but after treatment Musiala was able to leave the pitch on his own, walking off without assistance.

It was the second such scare in four days.

On Saturday, in the closing stages of the friendly against RB Leipzig, Musiala had already alarmed Bayern. Shortly after coming on, he sat down on the turf and needed help from several emergency responders. Ismael Saibari was among the first to show concern, with Bayern players clearly shaken by the sight of one of their key talents in distress.

This time too, the outcome brought relief. Musiala eventually made his way off the field unaided, easing immediate fears within the squad and on the touchline.

After the Leipzig match, sporting director Max Eberl tried to calm the situation while keeping the details tight.

“He is doing well now. And that is the most important thing. Beyond that, we cannot say too much about it yet,” Eberl told Sport1.

Musiala has not yet spoken publicly about either episode or the cause of his discomfort in the two consecutive friendlies.

Bayern now move towards a high-stakes fixture: the German Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The question hanging over the club is simple and sharp — will one of their most gifted players be ready, and more importantly, fully fit, when the first trophy of the season is on the line?
