Liverpool in Talks for Bradley Barcola Transfer

Liverpool are locked in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Bradley Barcola, with the winger’s future in the French capital hanging in the balance.

Negotiations between the clubs are described as ongoing on a daily basis, as Liverpool push to prise the 23-year-old away from the European champions. The structure of the deal and final fee remain the key hurdles, but the dialogue has not stopped.

On the player’s side, there is no resistance. Barcola, formerly of Lyon, is keen on a move to Anfield this summer and personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle. The green light from the player is already there; now it is about convincing PSG.

His situation took another twist on Wednesday night. Barcola watched from the bench as an unused substitute in PSG’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, a high-profile occasion that only sharpened the focus on his role under Luis Enrique. A player of his age and profile sitting out a showpiece final only fuels the sense that something is shifting behind the scenes.

After the final, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did little to cool the speculation. Speaking to Canal+, he said: “We will see in the next days. We are discussing, we are negotiating.” For a club that only months ago treated Barcola as part of their long-term core, that line matters.

It signals a change: the France international is no longer untouchable. PSG are at least open to the idea of a sale if Liverpool put the right offer on the table.

Now the question is simple and sharp. How far are Liverpool prepared to go to turn Barcola’s willingness into a shirt on the Anfield touchline rather than another name that slipped away?
