Hull City Break Transfer Record to Sign Konstantinos Tzolakis

Tzolakis knows exactly what he is walking into – and what he is leaving behind.

"I am ready for a new chapter in my career," he said, reflecting on his time in Piraeus. "With Olympiacos, I had a successful career with a Conference League title, championship and a cup, also European games and Champions League. Hull City is something different because we are playing in the Premier League. We have to fight against top players, so it's a challenge for me."

That word – challenge – hangs over the move. Hull are stepping into a division where mistakes are punished ruthlessly and goalkeepers live on a tightrope. For Tzolakis, every cross, every one-on-one, every decision with the ball at his feet will be under a glare far brighter than anything he has faced in Greece.
